The Vermeer^® 605C round hay baler (sold by Massey-Ferguson as the MF-560), may pose a serious risk to agricultural workers because of its tendency to malfunction. The baler was designed to pack and tie field-dried hay into bundles for handling, storage and shipping. Usually, the hay has been raked into rows where it is then gathered by the rollers, tossed into the bin, and formed into round bales that are ejected out the rear and picked up by a truck for transport.
